Tunisia

The project strengthened capacity for the development of an MRV system in the water sanitation sector. The 2006 IPCC guidelines were used to estimate GHG emissions for the sectors included in the NDC, and the GACMO tool was applied to develop scenarios and update strategic documents such as the Low Carbon Strategy and the NDC. Furthermore, the project increased transparency around the implementation of climate change strategies in Tunisia and provided recommendations on how wastewater can be used for the production of energy.
